Join us for a special Moon Viewing Concert on October 7th in La Jolla, San Diego, under the radiant light of the full moon!
Percussionist Kosuke Matsuda will present a meditative and imaginative soundscape inspired by Japanese traditions. The program features Moon Viewing Music by Peter Garland, a six-movement work inspired by Japanese haiku poets, as well as Kanade by Masayuki Sakamoto, performed on the powerful Japanese okedo taiko.
In Japan, Moon Viewing (Tsukimi) is a cherished autumn tradition, a time to celebrate beauty and culture. Come experience this tradition through music, and join us in celebrating multicultural creativity and diversity in San Diego!
